Katie Shapiro, M.D.

Born and educated in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Shapiro studied at Oregon Health Sciences University for medical school and the University of British Columbia for residency. She came to California in 1988 to start practicing. Over the years, she has collaborated with multiple colleagues but remained dedicated to her ideals of individualized and personal care. Her many interests outside of medicine include raising oriental lilies, bicycling, kayaking and playing the bassoon.

Dr. Shapiro has extensive training and experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and robotic-assisted daVinci laparoscopy.
